Ridge swimmers attend FWAS camp

11 Mar, 2010 11:12 AM
Anna Miglietta and Brook and Sky Holland were among 27 swimmers from across the Far West region who attended a two-day swimming development camp.

The camp had been organised by the Far West Academy of Sport (FWAS) and was held in Warren on March 6

and 7.

Fourteen local coaches were also present at the camp, which was headed up by the head swimming coach at the NSW Institute of Sport, Jim Fowlie.

Fowlie, who said he didn’t often get the opportunity to travel west, was impressed with the talent of the swimmers who attended the camp.

“If they contine on their current paths we may even see some of them at the Olympics one day,” said Fowlie.
