Piranhas back in action

09 Feb, 2012 12:11 PM
The Lightning Ridge Piranhas have continued official club training this week.

Some members have continued to train during the summer break to prepare for upcoming meets while others have enjoyed the break and are now ready to get into it.

It was good to have them back in the water after some sunny weather again.

Our annual twilight carnival will be held on Saturday March 17 starting with warm-up at 11am.

We ask for all volunteers to once again make themselves available to help make the running of our carnival a success as it has been in the past.

We all keep our fingers crossed visiting competitors can make it to town by then, as this is the swim club’s major fundraiser for the year.

If you would like to help, either on the day or by sponsoring a race or two, please contact Crystal Mahoney on 0422 379 518 or see her at the pool Monday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons.

Time trials will start back this week on Thursday at 4.30pm.
