11 Mar 10 | Anna Miglietta and Brook and Sky Holland were among 27 swimmers from across the Far West region who attended a two-day swimming development camp.
11 Mar 10 | On March 1 and 2, 23 students from Lightning Ridge Central School travelled to Armidale to compete in the North-West Regional Carnivals. Eighteen of these students were from the primary school, while five students from the high school competed.
11 Feb 10 | A bus load of Pirahnas set off for Dubbo on Friday afternoon, travelling through flood waters and heavy rain, to compete in the Speedo Sprint Trials and James brophy trials on Saturday evening, and following up on Sunday to compete for a place in the 2010 Western District Championships.
03 Dec 09 | The Lightning Ridge Pirahnas Swimming Club headed to Coonamble on Sunday November 29 to compete in their annual carnival. Our swimmers hit the pool with a splash producing some fantastic results.
19 Nov 09 | On Saturday the 14th four Piranha’s went way out west to compete in Cobar and again the next day in Bourke.
All four girls did extremely well breaking records and coming home with gold.
30 Jul 09 | On July 18 and 19, Sky and Brook Holland, Morgan McGregor and Anna Miglietta hit Sydney Olympic Park for the New South Wales Country Short Course Championships.
21 May 09 | The Lightning Ridge Swimming Club held their 2008/2009 presentation night at Nobbies on Friday May 15. The majority of the club’s swimmers came out to congratulate their fellow athletes and to receive their own awards.
