Butch takes places in Gulgong

On the last weekend of February Butch, one of our very talented shooters, travelled to Gulgong to compete in their annual Gulgong Shoot.

He did exceptionally well at the competition taking places in three events with a first in B Grade, a second in 25-Metre Service and a third in Service Unrestricted.

This week’s shooters competed in the Centre Fire/Sport and Service/Unrestricted matches before the weather began to turn on Monday. This scores are as follows:

Centre Fire: Homere – 125, Mic-Mac – 399.

Sport: Andrew – 514, John Mc – 507, Paul B – 499, Howard – 442, Maverick – 372, Peter – 228, Willy – 103.

Service: Hayward – 665.

Unrestricted: Bob – 746, Andrew – 660, Paul B – 627, Butch – 617, Tony – 509.

Last week on Sunday February 28 nine members made their way onto the range to play in the Standard and Service/Unrestricted matches on Sunday.

The scores are as follows:

Standard: John Mc – 480, Andrew – 477, Homere – 469, Matti – 408, Paul B – 407, Howard – 368, Merlie – 222.

Service: Hayward – 609.

Unrestricted: Bob – 800, Andrew – 775.

We would also like to welcome Shelly to the Club and we hope you enjoy the sport as much as we do.

Anybody interested in pistol shooting can come down on a Sunday.

The weekly shoot starts at 10am and service shooters are on the range at 8am.

Next week on the range members will be shooting Standard and a Short Barrel Match (25-Yard Service).
