Matter is condensed energy.
The stronger our will, the greater the force of our energy. All matter, including our bodies, is in reality energy. Energy has no limitation and we are able to tap into it and draw from the universal energy as much as we wish to.
Yogananda, a great master said, 'joy and energy go hand in hand'. So, if you have high energy, it's impossible for you to be sad. And vice versa. If you are joyful, you have plenty of energy. Depressed people have low energy. And the most difficult task is to get them to do something about it.
We should work consciously to overcome mental energy blocks, such as unwillingness, boredom, moodiness and fear of failure. Yoga practice helps overcome mental and physical energy blocks and keeps the energy of the body in tune with the energy of the universe. This is the meaning of the word ‘yoga' - union. The most difficult thing to do is to make the first step.
