Veterans golf
There were 10 golfers who hit off in the afternoon for their weekly get together.
With some good golf being played, Ron Canlin worked his way to the front and wasn't headed.
Ron finished with 27 points.
Runner-up with 26 points was Pat Smith just ahead of Reg Huntley on 25 points.
Chook run
A total of 29 players took to the chase.
Some players even did the trip three times in an endeavour to catch the Sunday dinner.
Excitement galore as three players finished their day's golf on 22 points which left Col to carry out a count back to get a deserving winner.
The three players were Robina Boardman, hubby Val and the one and only "Lord" Brett Hyland.
After a very difficult count back Robina grabbed the winner's two chooks, with Val runner-up and Brett in third.
The Black Opal Advocate Encouragement Award went to a great player having a very bad day.
Pat McErlain was the man to score a horrible seven points but at least he can console himself with a packet of chicken chips to go with a beer or two.
NSW Mixed Four Ball
What a great turnout we had for the afternoon.
There was a total of 10 teams with three qualifiers and three reserves.
A tie for first place saw Stacey being required to do a count back, which gave the win to Sally Williams and Reg Huntley on a fine score of 47 points.
Runners-up were the team of Irene Dowton and Ian Hegarty also on 47 points.
Sally and Reg were not registered for the trip away so the three qualifiers in order were Irene Dowton and Ian Hegarty, Carmel Fiddling and Brett Hyland, and Cheryl Hudson and Ron Canlin.
The reserves in order were Stacey Reynolds and Col Cooper, Kath Johnston and Pat Smith, and Maureen Pandel and John Mackay.
The final will be held at Gulargambone on July 8, where only the winner will then proceed through to the big one in Sydney.

The scores were very close but the winner couldn't get below the leading score for the annual Ron Canlin Trophy of 65 nett, this score is held by James Hegarty from the first medal of the year.
Wolf Moosmueller was the medal winner with a fine 68 nett just holding off the improving Adam Webb who finished with a score of 69 nett.
