The 6th Annual Barriekneal "A" Day Open Triples Bowls Carnival was held on Saturday with teams travelling from near and far to compete for more than $2000 in prizes.
It was a close carnival with the team of PM, PA and GG Morris adding to their already stellar collection of bowling trophies.
The carnival was hotly contested throughout the day with the points coming down to the wire.
The Morris' emerged victorious but only after defeating the team of Noel Burke, Dave Stallard and Ray Warner by a single point.
The carnival was marked as another success for the Lightning Ridge Bowling Club with the tournament attracting 28 teams in total.
The teams included Walgett, Goodooga, Collarenebri and Coonamble with all visitors enjoying a relaxed atmosphere off the green.
