My apologies to members who missed last Saturday's meeting, I will endeavour to make sure it doesn't happen again. Future meetings will be held on the last Saturday of each month unless otherwise advised.

Recently, a very determined and dedicated bowler Lorna Johnson now known as 'Hopi' Johnson arrived on crutches to play in the club fours on July 17.

She caused a bit of a stir, hopping on and off the green and going from end to end on her crutches, not easy. Lorna and fellow teammates Barbara Clair, Wilma Jones and Betty LeCudennec went on to win the game, congratulations girls.

Don't forget A Day in Walgett on Saturday, details are on the men's board at the club and it should be a fun day.

Deepest sympathy is expressed to member Lisa Brown and her family on the passing of Fred Morgan last week.

Glad to hear Lorraine May is back home.
