It was great bowling which carried the day for the Lightning Ridge cricket team when they played Walgett team Sporto on Saturday.
Lightning Ridge went into bat first, but it took them a long time to find form.
At one stage the home side was on 6 for 43 before they finally rallied and ended the innings with 112 runs.
It seemed an easy score for Sporto to chase, but they were unable to contend with the quality of the Lightning Ridge bowling and fielding, which managed to restrict their score to less than 90.
Club president Patrick Vrtacnik said he was pleased with the win, but admitted that he wasn't always confident of victory.
"It didn't look too good there for a while," he said.
"In fact, it looked pretty rough to tell you the truth, but we got there in the end."
