Swimming clinic comes to town

21 Nov, 2002 08:57 AM
In conjunction with NSW Sport and Recreation's Far West Academy of Sport, NSW Swimming will be conducting a development tour of the far west region for local clubs, coaches and participants.

It will be in Lightning Ridge on Monday and Tuesday to conduct educational sessions for clubs and clinics for local swimming enthusiasts.

A high performance coach will be in attendance throughout the tour to provide his expertise and share his experience with local coaches.

NSW Swimming development officer Craig Oliver said the tour would give local swimmers and clubs the opportunity to access hands on experience that they would not regularly be able to receive.

"The club educational sessions will assist the operations and management of local clubs, and provide a vital link with the State body through the information provided and relationships we hope to establish," he said.

Interested swimmers are invited to participate and should contact their local swimming club for further information.
