The Far West Academy of Sport Netball Squad has had a huge season with athletes from Lightning Ridge and Goodooga among the representatives this season. The FWAS said the standard of the players for the 2005 squad was high and athletes demonstrated excellent skills and commitment to their chosen sport. The program this year consisted of regular training sessions in preparation to attending the NIB Games in Newcastle in July. "The girls have improved in every area this year and have become a team to be reckoned with, attracting favorable attention from Netball NSW and other squads," head coach Debbie Clark said.
