Students excel at carnival

Lightning Ridge Central School held its primary school athletics carnival last Friday.

The students participated in a whole range of events including discus, high jump, shot put and running events.

In the infants running events Catherine Sisa came first in the five year old girls, Lauren Hughes came second and Bella McKenzie came third.

In the five-year-old boys Jack Thompson came first, Maxie Morrison came second and Jayden McLeod came third.

In the six-year-old girls Quin Brunner came first, Maralma Alchin came second and Charmaine Nowlean came third.

In the six-year-old boys Jackson Hourn came first, Tom O'Brien came second and Samuel Jackson-Bolton came third.

In the seven-year-old girls Logan Whitlow came first, Amanda Daffey came second and Madison Fazledeen came third.

In the seven-year -old boys Matthew Smith came first, Darcy Single came second and Liam Hughes came third.

In the eight -year-old girls Liberty Berthold came first and Zoie Knowles came second.

Finally in the eight -year -old boys Jacob Borkovic came first, Ginte Waugh came second and Jonathan Forsberg came third.
