Bob Smith took out the Lightning Ridge Pistol Club's shoot this week.
He competed against seven other shooters on Sunday afternoon in the .22 sports pistol shoot at 25 metre targets, and finished up on a top score of 538.
Tom Shaw became the second ranking shooter in this event following not too far behind on 504 points, from John McCabe in the third spot on 477.
Other shooters "Chimbu" Smithers ended the day for a close fourth on 472, Merlie McCabe with 425, John Richardson came sixth with a four point gap on 421, Stuart Brown finished 380 and Hayward Little on 201.
