Lightning Ridge soccer players travelled down to Dubbo on Saturday to compete in a Far West Academy of Sport carnival.
The players were split up and put in different sides, giving them a chance to play with and against players from Parkes, Forbes, Dubbo and Cobar.
Joanne Strasek travelled with the players and said the Lightning Ridge players matched their counterparts in skill and competitiveness.
