The Gymnastics Club is holding its end of year display at 2pm today at the sports centre.
It is a combined performance with all the different groups within the club, with the main emphasis being on the school's gym fest display items, which are being performed at Gosford next week.
Kelly Gould coaches the gym fun class, which focuses on fun, fitness and friendship. It is a non-competitive class where each child is encouraged to develop at their own pace.
"It's been a great year, I'm very pleased with the way the kids have developed throughout the year," Ms Gould said.
The gym fun class is a general gym class for boys and girls ages 5-10, and is open to all children right from beginner level.
The displays will be routines showing skills the children have learned throughout the year.
As well as encouraging positive interaction with other children, the bodywork gymnastics provides can be of benefit to children right throughout their lives. Of all the sports Gymnastics is considered one of the most beneficial, with stretching and strengthening of all the muscle groups.
It's great for co-ordination and the kids get a real boost when they achieve a certain skill level.
Coaches Kelly Gould and Ursula Pitt would like to thank all the parent helpers, especially Bernice Brogan, and members of the community who have supported the Gymnastics Club.
After the end of year display the gym fun class will be winding down for the year.
