The comp will kick off on Saturday July 3 and close at 4pm on Sunday July 18.

Members can fish any river, lake or dam to their heart's desire and weigh in their catch at the Lightning Ridge Hotel Motel anytime as long as it is before 4pm on Sunday July 18.

But members must nominate beforehand at the pub and the nomination fee is $5.

There will be four categories of great prizes - heaviest yellow belly for adults and kids plus heaviest cod for adults and kids.

The prize giving ceremony will take place at Nobby's Pub after 4pm on Sunday July 18 and a barbecue will be provided.

So come along and enjoy some no doubt tall stories.

Copeton

Keep in mind our annual Copeton competition that will take place in the October school holidays - probably the weekend after the long weekend.

Everyone a great time last year and this year will be bigger and better - so keep the date free.

More details will be available in the future but there will definitely be a big party on one of the nights.

If you would like to join Nobby's Pub Fishing Club it is easy.

Simply fill in a membership form at the Lightning Ridge Hotel Motel.

Membership fees are $20 for adults and $5 for juniors.

We also have some great shirts for sale at $30, caps for $15 and stubby holders for $8.
