Christmas golf results:

December 13 - chook run

Winner - Sally Williams.

Hams to John Mackay, Victor Borkovic, Joe Popovic, Stacey Reynolds, Brett Hyland and Felix Monch.

Black Opal Advocate Encouragement Award - Joe Molyneux.

December 14 - stableford 12 holes

Winner - Cheryl Hudson.

No other prizes.

December 15 - par 18 holes

Winner - Pat Smith on a count back picking up a ham.

Runner-up - Col Cooper winning a small ham.

December 20 - chook run

Winner - Peter Healey.

Runner-up - Felix Monch.

December 22 - stableford 18 holes

Winner - Malcolm Carpenter taking a ham.

Runner-up - Felix Monch receiving a small ham.

January 3 - chook run

Winner - Col Cooper.

Chooks to Felix Monch, John Mackay and Brett Hyland.

Black Opal Advocate Encouragement Award - Val Boardman.

January 5 - stableford 18 holes

Winner - Wolf Moosmueller.

Runner-up - Vidar Hanvold.

Balls to Kay Hogan, Pat Smith and Ron Hogan.

Veterans Wednesday January 8

Nine vets hit off in the competition.

The winner with a great round capturing 31 points was Val Boardman.

Val ensured he kept the junior veteran Col Cooper in second place, as Col scored 27 points.

Third place went to Kay Hogan with the veterans being a medley at this time as most of the girls were still away.

Friday chook run January 10.

There was a very disappointing turnout for the weekly chase this week, with only six players in the morning.

Another two players only for the afternoon, so a total of eight for the day.

The winner with a score of 24 points was Pat Smith, well done Pat.

Equal runners-up were Wolf Moosmueller and Joe Popovic both on 22 points. These players were the only chook winners for the day.

Sunday fourball stableford January 12.

Five teams arrived on Sunday morning.

The winners with a fine 43 points in a count back were Bryan Earl and Wolf Moosmueller pushing Vidar Hanvold and Joe Popovic into the runner-up spot. Well done both teams. The ball getters in another count back were Kay and Ron Hogan in front of Pat Smith and Ron Canlin with both teams on 40 points.

This week

There is a chook run all day tomorrow.

On Saturday a 12 hole stableford will hit off early until 9am.

An 18 hole single par will start between 7am and 8am on Sunday; names need to be on the board please.
