Golfers enjoy challenge of cross country event

28 Oct, 2004 08:33 AM
Wednesday Cross Country

What a challenge this annual event is. Carmel Fiddling won, Kay Hogan was runner-up and Laurel Voeks, Heidi Smith and Sally Williams won a hall each. Some of us found it all quite difficult, but most agreed it was good fun.

Vets

Winner was Ron Hogan and a ball each went to Ron Canlin and Wolf Moosmueller.

Friday 10 hole chook run

Winner was Elyn Nexo and chooks went to Pat Smith, Wolf Moosmueller, Kath Johnston, Brett Hyland, Joe Popovic, Sepp Jakitsch, Gary Hughes and Michelle Knee.

Saturday 12 hole medley stableford

Winner was Wolf Moosmueller and runner-up was Gary Hughes.

Sunday 18 hole 2 person ambrose

This was a very hot day and some of us were very grateful to be able to use golf buggies.

Joe Popovic had a great round and was the 'swinger' so he was both a winner and a runner-up.

Winners were Joe Popovic and Pat Smith and runners-up were Joe Popovic and Wolf Moosmueller.

A ball each went to Knud and Elyn Nexo.

We had an unexpected barbecue of mutton birds and sausages after the game, which went down very well.
