Excitement at carnivals

Monday and Tuesday turned out two bright and sunny days for the primary and secondary school swimming carnivals.

The primary school carnival was filled with excitement as students mixed serious competition with fun novelty events.

Kindergarten students cooled off in the theme park getting their first taste of how fun school can be.

Greta Strasek was the junior girl's champion with Brooke Holland the 11 years champion and Sam Brown the senior girl's champion.

In the boys Dan Gawthorpe was junior champion with Gyle Strasek 11 years champion and Alex Radakovic the senior champion.

Bodell received the most points on the day with 204.

Placegetters will go onto a regional carnival to be held in Armidale.

In the secondary carnival students again enjoyed some novelty events even with some of the teachers joining in.

On the competion side of things, Jordan McGovern was the junior boy's age champion with George Radakovic the intermediate champion and Billy Breuer the senior boy's champion.

In the girls Sky Holland was the junior age champion with Natasha Martinez intermediate champion and Kristina Kelly the senior champion.

Reece had a runaway victory with 788 points after they were victorious in the relay events.
