The Ridge U8 Cubs showed their skills last Saturday in front of 32,000 screaming fans at Suncorp Stadium playing games at half time in the Bronco's V Storm top-of-the-table showdown. The Tigers got the points in a game of footy against an U8 side from Quilpie.
Besides securing a win, the boys met all the Broncos players and several Melbourne Storm players, getting photos and signatures with their rugby league heros.
Every child and parent said the trip will inspire our little ones to follow their dreams and become NRL starsthemselves. Thanks to all who purchased tickets and bought cakes in the fundraising which made this trip possible. Thank you townspeople of Lightning Ridge. Go the Tigers.
