The Copeton Dam Competition was a huge success for the Fishing Club, with more than fifty people making the trek to try their luck on the water last weekend.
Over three days they put in many hours of fishing and caught plenty, particularly catfish.
It wasn't just about the fishing, though, they were also there to party.
On the Saturday night they held the club Christmas party, with a BBQ and plenty of beer.
The winners over the weekend were:
Charlie Brown, with the longest cod at 67cm; Jason Raimien, with the longest yellow belly at 64cm; Brendon Morriss, who got the longest yellow belly in the junior section at 47cm; and Jenny Hodgkin, who got the heaviest catfish at 4lb 12oz.
The club's three monthly competition also ended on November 30. The winner was Ben Morriss, who weighed in a whopper 6lb yellow belly.
The new competition has already started and runs form December 1 until February 28 for the biggest cod and yellow belly.
Cash prizes are available and you can weigh your fish in at the Diggers Rest at any time.
Jenny Hodgkin has already produced a cod weighing 18lb, so the challenge has been thrown down to anybody who can beat that.
