Club needs ideas to beat insurance hike

Club needs ideas to beat insurance hike

10 Oct, 2002 10:47 AM
Welcome back to term four, the last for the year. Where has it gone?

This term is going to be eight weeks, starting on Monday and finishing on December 4. By this time it is getting too hot and most people are gearing up for holidays.

Fees remain at $4 per week, and the term fee paid up-front at $25.

Boys' classes on Monday have to be discontinued for now, but we shall review this next year.

Rhythmic gymnastics is still on for our enthusiastic girls on Mondays from 3.15pm to 5.45 pm.

Kinder gym for our little ones will be held on Tuesday from 10.30am to 11.30am.

The Wednesday classes remain as last term with general gym on at 3.15pm to 4.30pm, and acrobatic and rhythmic at 4.30pm to 5.45pm.

However, due to the rising cost of public liability insurance we need to raise some funds to pay for next year's premium. If we can't raise the funds we may not have a gymnastics club next year anymore.

If anyone has any suggestions that may help we would greatly appreciate them. We have until the end of January to finalise insurance problems.

Let's hope that in 2003 we can continue our club and send more gymnasts to competitions to show what Lightning Ridge can produce other than opal.
