Saturday's cricket game for the Walgett District competition saw the Lightning Ridge team win the home match against the Aces.
The Ridge initially won the toss and sent the Aces in to bat first.
However, Aces were all out in the 21st over with only 82 runs, which the Ridge were able to reply to, passing the runs required in the 19th over with only three wickets down.
The Ridge's Darren Chapman was the star of the match, being both the best bowler and batter on the day. He had bowled seven overs with three for 20, and during his batting time managed 47 runs not out. The other distinctive bowler for the Ridge was Sam Jeffries who had three overs with two for 13.
Lightning Ridge Club spokesman Mario Strasek said it was another hot day on Saturday.
He said they were still doing quite good and were ranked in the top three once again.
But with only one game left before the semi-finals, Strasek, said he was uncertain about how they'll go from here on in.
"It's hard to say at the moment whether we'll make it into the finals or not."
"I guess it just means that we need to have a positive attitude and believe that we are going to win every game," he said.
The Ridge will be playing RSL on Saturday at Walgett.
