There are big teams coming from Dubbo, Wee Waa and Moree as well as teams from other clubs in the district.

The swimming club committee has estimated that there will be between 150 and 200 kids swimming having received more than 400 race entries.

Once again the swimming club is calling for time keepers.

Any parents or spectators there on the day please make yourselves known to officials if you can spare some time for this important job.

Lightning Ridge is hosting this carnival and we want it to run smoothly and professionally for the sake of the 300 plus visitors to the town.

The carnival kicks off at 10am with the individual medley, followed by 50 and 100metre races.

This carnival will be an opportunity to see some of Lightning Ridge's brightest swimming stars competing in there home pool.
