It has been a busy bowling season for the lady bowlers who are now enjoying a slight lull after the highly successful Black Opal Triples.
Championship winners were:

Pairs: Lisa Brown/ Tania Farrawell, runners-up: Dixie Skuthorpe/Meg Morris
Triples: Tania Farrawell/Lisa Brown/Dixie Skuthorpe, runners-up: Lorraine May /Joan Gebetsberger/ Lyn Carney.
You are reminded that the annual general meeting will be held on Saturday at 2pm at the bowling club.
Affiliations are due and payable to the Secretary, Post Office Box 522, Lightning Ridge or prior to the AGM and election of office bearers.
You are urged to attend as nominations have not been received for several positions.
Get well wishes are extended to all lady bowlers who have not been enjoying good health recently.
Please note that Stroppy Bowls will go into recess until the first Monday in September.
It is expected that the Lightning Ridge Ladies President's Day will be held on Sunday August 21.
