What a week of golf. The 2nd Round Singles Championships were held on Wednesday with A grader Kath Johnston still holding her good lead from Carmel Fiddling and Kay Hogan making up some ground.

In B grade Heidi Smith leap-frogged into the lead and is now three shots ahead of Sally Williams. Kay took out the putting competition yet again. The medal was won by Heidi Smith, Carmel Fiddling took out runner up and a ball went to Kath Johnston.

Winner: Barry Fahey. Runner-up: Ron Canlin.

The 10 hole chook run was held two days later. Don Welsh walked away the winner with 26 points.

Chooks went to Carmel Fidding (2), Sally Williams, Melody Monch, M. Morris, Nigel Webb, Ron Hogan, Ray Williams, Tony Huskisson, Adam Webb, Tony Webb, Jan Davis (2) and Bruce Buchanan (2).

A friendly game was held in the afternoon on Saturday August 21 with a big night out at the Golf Club that evening. There was a wonderful response from the community to the trivia night which raised money for Col and Julie McWilliams and family who lost their home and belongings in a fire.

Sunday 22 was met with just eight starters for the morning and thanks to benign conditions the scoring was good. The winner was Adam Webb with nett 66. Felix Monch scored runner up with nett 67 and a ball went to Ron Hogan.
