The Lightning Ridge Opal Bracelet Race meeting held on Saturday afternoon was deemed a huge success by organisers.
Huge crowds made their way from the goat races to the horse races for an afternoon of betting and socialising.
Punters were able to bet on races in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane as well as the races at the track on the day.
Agent Scully thundered to the finish line first in the main race of the day, the 1200 metre Jim and Betty Marshall Memorial Lightning Ridge Cup.
Agent Scully was ridden by Nathan Patchett and trained by Gary Bignell from Warren, and the prize money was $2800.
Second place was Shearing Man ridden by Michael Hackett and third was Commotion ridden by Kevin Watling.
In the 900 metre Tony Campbell Memorial Maiden Plate Huge Number came first ridden by Ben Hull and trained by Karen McCarroll from Wellington. The prize money for first place was $2100.
In the 900 metre Landmark Walgett Class 1 HCP Jestadora finished first ridden by Tracy O'Hara and trained by Robbie Harrison from Coonamble. The prize money for the winners was $2450.
In the 1200 metre Bill Waterford Memorial Maiden Plate Royal Chapter came first ridden by Michael Hackett and trained by John Lundholm from Coonamble. The prize money for first place was $2100.
This horse is part owned by locals Tony Dalton and Mary Casey-Marshall.
The Lightning Ridge Bowling Club Class 2 HCP was the final race of the day and was won by Kickaletto, ridden by Ben Hull and trained by Barry Ford from Narrabri. The prize money for the winner was $2450.
The Best Dressed Lady award was given to local Jan James who won $100 cash.
The Best Dressed Gentleman was Glen Fewings who won a carton of alcohol.
