The final of the Ladies’ Fours was played last Friday with Wilma Jones and her team of Meg Morris, Liz Collins and Merlie McCabe having a close win over Judy Greenfield and her team of Joan Gebetsberger, Betty Le Cudennec and Ann Barclay.
With the scores tied at 20-all with two ends to go, Wilma and the girls scored a three and thereafter were never heeded.
Well done and the best of luck when you go to Wee Waa on May 4 to represent the Ridge against the other clubs in the District competition
The Men’s Major Singles is drawing to a close with Peter Williams to play Stacy Morris with the winner to play Adam Webb.
This game is expected to be played sometime this week.
The other singles final is between Ray Brown and Bob Radoski who is having a remarkable run.
Keep up the good work Bob.
The Men’s Pairs final will also be held sometime this week with Ray Collins and Bob Radoski playing Phil A and Graham Morris.
A reminder that the Bert Cooper Singles will be held on the May 8 and 9.
Entry forms may be obtained from the office.
This coincides with Mothers Day, which will start at 1pm on May 9.
All interested players please put your names on the board.
At last the weather seems to have improved enough to have some sort of continuity with the social bowls.
In perfect conditions, the winners for Sunday were Adam Webb and Jeff Jones and the runners-up were Tony Aquino and Liz Collins.
