Friendly competition sees six teams compete

18 Feb, 2010 11:25 AM
Saturday saw six teams from the Ridge head off to Narrabri to compete in the ‘Friendship Cup’.

Played annually between the two clubs it serves a duel purpose with both clubs benefiting from the tournament through pre-preparation for the upcoming Pennants tournament in March.

The Ridge once again had a convincing win 126 - 106 which augers very well for the Pennants.

Luckily the rain didn’t come until they were on their way home.

Social bowls hasn’t been so lucky with bugs, extreme heat and now torrential rain.

We should be back on track this week with names in by 2.30pm on Thursday and 5.30pm on Sunday.

Lady Pennant players are reminded that there will be practice on Friday at 5pm.

Until next week good bowling everybody.
