Busy time for bowlers

25 Jun, 2009 10:32 AM
It just gets busier for social bowls with more than 40 players and full rinks again this week.

Last Thursday the winners were Nick Nelson and Dave Mason with Margaret Bourne, Lyn Carney and Les Mason finishing the runner-up.

Sunday saw Jules Kresky, Ian Devereaux and John Warwick on the podium with Rose Hannaford, Graham Hill and D Kay the runners-up.

Prize money is $20each to be spent at the club and many visitors are taking advantage of this to purchase their dinner, which is a first class way to go after having had a good day on the greens.

Please have your names on the board by 1.30pm so a draw can be done. The cost is just $3.

Because the ladies are having their Black Opal Triples tournament there will be no social bowls on Sunday but Bob has arranged for a social game to be held on Saturday evening after the ladies finish for the day.

Winter Triples will be held on July 4-5. Names into office.

Ladies are reminded that affiliation fees are now due. Send to box 522 or see Judy.

Until next week good bowling everybody.
