Bowlers vie for singles title

The men’s singles championships were played this weekend. While Tony Lamb beat Jay Morris, Ray Brown beat Frank Williams, Adam Webb defeated Frank Vogel, Peter Williams downed Graham Norris and Stacey Morris got the better of Trevor McGoven.

The winners qualify for the last eight with a few more games yet to be played.

The men’s pairs are into the quarter-finals. Ray Collins and Bob Radoski beat Frank Williams and Russell Chapman, while PW Morris and Frank Vogel beat Stacey and Jay Morris.

The men’s No. 7s pennant side lost at Collie. The No. 1s play next weekend at Narrabri.

Ann Barclay, Lyn Carney, Merlie McCabe and Judy Greenfield are to play in the semifinals of the ladies’ district singles. Ann Barclay and Lyn Carney will meet in the semi-finals.

Don’t forget that raffle tickets for the Easter egg raffle are still on sale.
