Black Opal Classic ‘not to be missed’ by avid bowls fans

The Ladies Club Championships were concluded last week with Chris Egan taking out the major singles title.

Joan Gebetsberger won the minor singles for 2009.

The pairs was also won by Chris and Joan.

The triples was won by Judy Greenfield, Lyn Carney and Ann Barclay and the fours by Judy, Lyn, Joan and Ann.

The mixed pairs was also concluded with Judy Greenfield and Bob Newman winning in a close game against Nathan Woodcock and Wilma Jones.

Although daylight saving has started social bowls is still being held at 2pm until further notice.

The Prestigious Black Opal Classic runs from October 13 to 16 and the calcutta will be available all day on the Wednesday.

This is a tournament not to be missed for all bowlers who enjoy watching the best, so make sure you are there.
