GRAWIN GOLF: On Sunday August 29 we played a three-club novelty event and three players still managed to turn in sub-par scores.
The winner was Dave Head with a nett 58, one shot back was Dave Herbert on 59 and Robbo Baxter came third with 61.
It makes me wonder, do we really need 14 clubs in our bag? We managed to stay out of trouble and there was less confusion about which club to hit for the following shots.

Ladies’ longest drive went to Heather Hole. Dave Head took out the men’s.
Nearest to the pin on the 2nd was Gav Harper and a chip-in gobbler earned Dave Herbert a ball on the 16th.
Bill Bailey won the nine-hole stroke event with nett 31
On Wednesday August 25, a nine-hole competition was won by Dave Head with nett 32.5 and Gav Harper was second with 33
On Sunday September 5, there will be an 18-hole stroke event for the Father’s Day Trophy, sponsored by Marilyn and John Sharkey.
