Two other people scored the same but Joe defeated them on a countback. The other chooks went to Ron Hogan and Ray Williams.

David Schafer came in with the winning card on Sunday January 22 in the stroke game with a nett 65, winning by four shots from his nearest rival.

Ron Canlin was runner-up on a countback from Ron Hogan and Peter Glogauer who won the balls down the line. Danny Kapatos was nearest the pin winner.

As from Monday January 23, a chook run competition will run all week from Monday to Friday inclusive, so anyone who wants to, will be able to play every day or any day that suits them.

The cards and envelopes will be in the green tin and cards are to be returned there after your game. Please put your name on the envelope. Handicaps will be on the front window and will remain the same for that week.

It will depend on how many times a player plays as to how many shots they go up or down for the week.

The winners will be announced after the game has finished on a Friday.

It is just another way to try and please everyone.

Thursday January 26: (Australia Day) Chook run from 8.30am to 4pm.

Friday January 27: Chook run. Hit off from 8.30 am to 4pm.

Saturday January 28: Hit off 8am.

Sunday January 29: Hit off 8am.

Wednesday February 1: Twelve-hole stableford. Hit off 8.30am.
