Alan Huskinson had a good week of golf, winning both the Saturday and Sunday competitions. Scores were down to the normal this week but I believe there is a bit of grass on the course which our players are not use to. Our mower is working over time and having trouble trying to keep the grass down as are a lot of people around town.
Wednesday February 10 was the veterans 12-hole stableford and that event was won by Pat Smith with 19 points. Runner-up was Wolf Moosmueller with 17 points.
The chook run on Friday had a total of 14 players and was taken out by Wolf Moosmueller with 23 points.
Chooks down the line went to Alan Huskinson, Vidar Hanvold, Jenny Underwood and Chris Underwood.
Alan Huskinson was the winner of Saturday’s 12 hole stroke round with a nett 46.67. Wolf Moosmueller was runner-up with a nett 48.34.
Players on Sunday were very lucky to get their game in with the threatening weather but thankfully they finished before the rain came down. Alan Huskinson won the 18-hole stableford with 33 points and balls went to Chris Underwood and Wolf Moosmueller.
Congratulations to Craig Brown on his 21st birthday which was held at the club house on Saturday night.
The night was full of laughter, fun, good music, delicious food and liquid refreshments. Even the bugs did the right thing by staying at home, which was good. Thank you for choosing our venue.
Sunday February 21 will be a two-person ambrose so all you ambrose lovers will have to be here. Hit-off time is 8am.
Next week’s game will be as follows:
