Trosot scoops big prize

POKER: On Saturday July 17 the Lightning Ridge Bowling Club and the Australian Poker Leauge hosted a poker tournament at the club.

There were 37 players who participated. Seven of these had travelled from Walgett to join in the fun.

They played for a prize pool of

$3300.

The top 11 players received prizes.

In first place was Marko Trosot who won $1500, closely followed by Mardo Palavra who picked up $1000 and Vanessa Hickey who took home $400.

In fourth place was David Kennedy. He scored $400 while Jennifer Smith in fifth place won $80 and Kelly Tishler in sixth place took home $70.

Ally Nicolopoulos came seventh winning $50.

In eighth place was Snjezana Krenovic who won a $15 club voucher followed by Natasha Padam in ninth place who scored a $10 voucher and Rodney Hungerford in tenth place who won a $10 voucher.

In eleventh place was Jodi Mack who also won a $10 voucher.

A cash game was held on Tuesday July 20.

Forty-nine players took part. Two of them had travelled from Walgett.

The prize pool, which was worth $1100, was divided into four places.

In first place was Paul Nay who won $550.

Billy Nagy came second. He won $330.

Marko Trosot was placed third. He won $170.

In fourth place was Ray Purser who won $50.

Next week there will be a free game so put on your poker face and come on down to the club for the some fun.
