Ridge Rovers mark important milestone

27 May, 2010 01:08 PM
The Ridge Rovers is the Heart Foundation and NSW Outback Division of General Practice’s local walking group.

Last Friday May 21, the group, which meets at 8.30am on Mondays and Fridays outside the Arts and Crafts Council centre, celebrated three years of walking with a free morning tea at Morilla’s.

Some members of the Lightning Ridge Men’s Shed, who were on their way to Dirranbandi for the afternoon, called in to congratulate the Ridge Rovers on reaching this important milestone.

The Ridge Rovers are encouraging more residents and visitors to join their group or start up their own.

Whether you want to walk with a stroller, your dog or off the beaten track, the NSW Outback Division of General Practice is encouraging people to use their imaginations and get some friends together to enjoy the health benefits of walking.

For support or further information contact Mick Ah Kit or Leigh Black from the NSW Outback Division of General Practice on 6829 1800.
