POKER: There was an outstanding roll-up to poker at the Lightning Ridge Bowling Club on Tuesday evening. Fifty-two people registered to play for a total prize pool worth $1100.

The prize money was divided into four places.

Jason Pitt from Walgett came first. He received $560 for his efforts.

In second place was another visitor from Walgett, Shona Barker, who took home $330.

Lightning Ridge local, Richard Boehm came in third. He won $160.

And rounding out the top four was Annette Kennedy, also of Walgett, who won $50.

Six players in total travelled up from Walgett and three of them took home some of the prize money.

There were also two new registrations with the Australian Poker League on Tuesday evening.

Next week, there will be a free game.

On Monday May 31, there will be a $22 unlimited rebuys game at the Walgett District Sporting Club for anyone who is interested in travelling down. It will start at 7pm.

So bring out your poker face to both venues because they are sure to provide a night of fun.
