Heat haven found at darts

28 Jan, 2010 11:55 AM
DARTS: With the weather being hot once more, thank goodness for the airconditioning at the Bowling Club, Sunday saw players enjoying darts and the cool air.

Top scores for the women went to Jenni with 105 and Carol with 121. The men were hard to beat with Scott scoring 140, 140, 118, 126, 140 and 4x100 and Tony with 116, 125 and 1x100.

It was a neck and neck battle as John and Jenni played their last game. If John had won, it would have ensured a three-way play-off for first and second.

All held their breath. Bad luck for John, Jenni pipped him at the post.

The play-off was between Tony and Scott. It was pretty close, Tony missed his peg out and Scott snuck under the wire. Scott went on to be the winner for the day with Tony being runner-up.

If you are interested in playing, come along to the TAB room at 11.30am on Sundays. Games start at noon, covered in shoes must be worn. Spare darts are available and juniors are most welcome.
