POKER: A total of 36 players turned out to try their hand at this week’s poker cash game held at the Bowling Club on June 23.
The night’s prize pool was a worthwhile $700, which was divided into four places.
In fourth place was Eduard Soric winning $40 and in third was Rodney Hungerford taking $100. The night’s runner-up was Brian Adam who won $210 but couldn’t defeat the champ Peter O’Rourke who took home $350.
Peter also won a Pro Series ticket to Warilla Bowls and Recreation Club on Jason Avenue, Barrack Heights, Wollongong.
Next week is a free game at the Bowling Club while the Walgett Sports Club is running a cash game so bring out your poker face and see you there.
