Divers take a break in December after busy first session as a club

16 Dec, 2011 12:43 PM
The Lightning Ridge Diving Club had its last diving session last week. The time has flown by.

The club is having a break this month and will start fresh again next year on January 2 2012 at 4pm.

The last few months was the first session as a diving club and we can tell you all the divers have come a long way and learned a lot.

Every diver has their own dives and jumps now, and it is great to see.

With lots of help from all coaches from the Ridge and not to forget Allen and Dave, the BIG coaches from the coast, plus the squad team also from the coast. Thank you all, our divers are blessed to have them, we can’t wait to see them back in January.

Zuzana Sisa has completed her first bounce level coaches course. Well done and congratulations from all of us in the dive club.

If you would like to join us or like to see how it feels to jump off the diving board, come and join us on our open day. Keep an eye on the next Ridge News for the date - it will be held in January,.

Also put a note on the calendar for January 21 and 22 when the Country Championships will be held in Lightning Ridge Diving Pool. Come and see our divers and our guest divers, diving their great dives. It will be a great weekend. Hope to see you all there.

Also I would like to thank all our great divers for their hard work and all the other people who have helped get this diving club up and running. You all do a great job.

The Lightning Ridge Diving Club would like to wish everybody a happy Christmas and a Happy New Year in 2012.
