MILO IN2CRICKET: It was wonderful to see so many Milo cricketers and their parents join in for our first session on Saturday.
The MILO in2cricket program has been well received and was an obvious need in our community with more than 50 players signing up.
A huge thank you to all parents who got involved, either with a ball in their hand or with great enthusiasm and encouragement, and to Amber Adams, Louie Chezworth, David Tooth, Digby Scuthorpe and ‘Taddy’ Walsh for taking on co-ordinator roles this week.
The players responded really well to the interaction and were very pleased with their skills!
We will be having weekly encouragement awards, Player of the Day and Most Improved of the Day.
Each recipient will receive a ribbon and prize bag donated by NSW Cricket.
The children were split into three groups; the mini- Milos, the Breakers and the Blitzers.
Another group will be added next week as numbers will be higher.
Awards this week went to Elijah Ferguson and Ally Haywood for the mini-Milos, Tom Barrett and Tommy Ellis for the Breakers and Aaron Walsh and Ainsley Barron for the Blitzers.
A special mention and thank you to Marty Harrison, who was a valuable help coming all the way from Mudgee to help get us up and running.
