Our Under 10’s/35kg team spent a very successful week in the Murrumba Shire. They arrived home runners-up.

Congratulations to Ryan Weatherall who was named Most Improved Player for Balonne Barwon for the week and to all the boys on a great team effort. Well done.

The team ended the week with free tickets to Suncorp Stadium to watch the Broncos play the Tigers where they got to meet Shane Webcke.

Our Under 12’s/43kg had a great week in Warwick, winning the battle on the field, but falling short on the scoreboard.

They ended up sixth on the ladder.

Congratulations to Adrian Brown who was named Best Back and Kayden Hooper who was named Best Forward for Balonne Barwon.

Ado also was named in the Country side.

This weekend will see the footy season start to wrap up with semi- finals being held in Dirranbandi.

The bus will leave the Lightning Ridge Bowling Club carpark at 6.45am. It will cost $5 per person to travel on the bus.

Our team photos will be taken on grand final day in Lightning Ridge on Saturday July 31 so can all players please wear full uniform with current shorts and socks.

Coaching staff are also asked to please wear their club shirts.

We will need all hands on deck for our grand final day for canteen duties, field preparation, set-up and clean-up. Please see your child’s coach if you can help. Also could all perpetual trophies be returned to coaches as soon as possible.
