Town and country unite for appeal

28 Nov, 2002 10:05 AM
Rotarians and friends are gearing up and plans are well under way for the Big Drought Night Out free concert on Saturday night at Spider Brown Oval.

This is where town and country will come together to unite and show support for those adversely affected by the drought.

Rotary Club president Danielle Osborne said as part of the push to raise $10,000 for Bush Church Aid, a monster raffle, for which they've already raised $1500 will be drawn on the night.

She said the prizes consist of gift vouchers from various local business houses.

To further support the concert for the district's farmers, the local Rotary Club will also be manning the bar and barbecue.

Westpac Bank staff member Andrea Marsh-Babic has set up a display in the bank to promote the Big Drought Night Out and show their support for Bush Church Aid.
