Tourists focus on photo board

29 Apr, 2010 09:48 AM
A new photographic opportunity has been made available to tourists visiting Lightning Ridge at the Visitor Information Centre.

This exciting innovation was the brainchild of co-ordinator of the Lightning Ridge Visitor Information Centre Lori White and her mum Robynne.

Local artist John Murray donated his time and paints to create the image on the photographic board.

He also installed the board with the help of vice president of the Lightning Ridge Tourist Association, Alan Eier, in time for the 2010 CountryLink Outback NSW Tourism Symposium, which was held in March.

Ms White said the board had been very popular with visitors to Lightning Ridge and that news of its existence had already started spreading by word-of-mouth.
