Four Lightning Ridge men have graduated from TAFE traineeships completed at the Lightning Ridge Hospital.
Shane Johnston, Gill Betteridge, Stevan Bevan and Michael AhKit all completed a 12 month course in nursing.
Their teacher Diane Prowse said when the course started all the students came from different backgrounds and she did not know how it was going to turn out.
"I am so pleased both personally and professionally with what they have achieved," she said.
The four students will remain in Lightning Ridge and work at the hospital.
Gill Betteridge said you must have a passion for the work to last as a nurse and really enjoy the work.
"I really enjoy coming to work, I find it really rewarding," he said.
