Approximately 65 people attended the 8th anniversary dinner of the Lightning Ridge Rotary.
Our district governor was represented by PDG Brian Prince and his wife Laurel. Guest speaker, Sandy Thorne, Australia's best-selling author of outback humour had the audience in stitches as she relayed her humorous experiences of the outback. Past president Danielle Osborne was awarded the Paul Harris Fellowship in recognition of her "outstanding service, untiring effort, and total commitment to Rotary and the community of Lightning Ridge." Danielle said that she was honoured to receive the award. Congratulations to Leigh Black, our new president.
