Vale Toni Allen
August 12 1965, aged 39 years.
(Mother) Leone, (father) Terry, (children) Lisa, Nathan, Jaye (siblings), Terry Ann Plain - Coonamble, Tia Morris - Hervey Bay, Kylee Khuna - Hervey Bay, Peter Allan - Townsville.
(Grand parents) Jim and Isobell Vallett (dec) Lightning Ridge, Fred and Una Allen (dec) Orange (uncle), Bob Allen Lightning Ridge, (aunty) Susan Miller - Orange (grandchildren), Blake, Reece and Zohe (partner) Phillip Morris.
Toni spent her school years in Coonamble and was a noted horse-woman and Coonamble Pony Club member.
After completing school at Coonamble High, Toni hightailed it to her beloved Ridge.
Toni at a young age was a frequent visitor to her grandparents Jim and Isobell Vallet who lived in a mud hut on the 3 Mile flat over the road from the old opal pioneer Fred Bodell.
Fred thought the world of this young imp and called her his "Little Blue Eyed Blond".
A special mention also to respected gun lawn bowler Phillip Morris.
Throughout the long term relationship between Toni and Phillip things at a time took a nose dive but Phillip always remained a stalwart, attesting to the strong bond between the two.
Footnote:
At the mention of Toni's name I automatically picture what was once a very attractive 18-year-old girl and sadly this was not so long ago.
To leave us while still so young will have a sector who are irrespective judgementalists but they should pause and show compassion and understanding to this poor girl who for so long had her own personal demons to contend with.
