LRMA notes
Two hectare mineral claims for prospecting should be available next Monday May 31.
The LRMA is meeting with the Department this week to finalise details.
Miners will then be able to take up two 2ha claims for a period of 28 days under similar conditions as an Opal Prospecting Licence.
These two claims will be in addition to the two mineral claims that can be held for mining.
They will only be available within Opal Prospecting Areas 1, 2 and 3 and outside of an Opal Prospecting Block.
New members
Now is a great time to join the LRMA as your membership will be current until June 30 2005.
The LRMA tries to ensure that all members are of good character.
This is why a new member must have a proposer and a seconder and remain on the notice board for 14 days before being presented to the board.
We also attach photographic ID to each new application form. All members are welcome in the LRMA office at any time to look at the membership applications.
The following have applied for membership of the LRMA.
If any member objects to any of the applicants becoming a member, please notify the office.
Your objection will be treated with the strictest of confidence.
