Dr John Arnold began a three-month stint in Lightning Ridge on Monday and is practising with Dr Harper.
He is on a working holiday around outback Australia for 12 months from his own practice in Dunedin, New Zealand.
Dr Arnold is joined by his wife, Fiona and three sons Samuel, Casey and Morgan.
